As you leave the A6 Turin-Savona motorway at the Mondovì exit, you can’t miss it! Mondovicino, the city of shopping, with its elegant village of outlet boutiques: a real world (Italian- ‘Mondo’) on a small scale, close by (Italian- ‘Vicino’). Mondovicino is now already more than 10 years old and is already considered one of the biggest shopping villages in Italy. Its history is closely linked to the town of Mondovì, changing it, and inevitably revolutionizing it. The shopping park includes restaurants, cafes, the shopping center, retail stores, the Ipercoop supermarket, specialty shops and a petrol station.
SHOPPING CENTER AND OUTLET VILLAGE
Ipercoop supermarket is located in the indoor building in the shopping center. Here, you can take a pleasant stroll through a wide range of shops. There are two entrance doors: that of “the water” and that of “the rock”, the call of nature, the true power of Mondovì’s landscape which not only surrounds the shopping center, but echoes inside it as well. The Shopping Center is located halfway between the majestic Alps and the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. The indoor building of the shopping village is designed to be as functional as possible, with lots of open spaces based on the concept of a real shopping gallery. At the entrance you’ll find a large space where you’ll find a food court where you can enjoy a meal, have a coffee or indulge in a frozen yogurt. Proceeding along you’ll find things for the whole family, including the new fashion collections. At the far end of the gallery, after Ipercoop supermarket, there is a lovely bookstore for those who prefer a quiet space to catch up on their favorite authors.
In the outdoor retail Outlet Village, you’ll find a warm and hospitable style of a typical Piedmontese farmhouse, with the elegant atmosphere of a small, medieval village with squares (piazza), buildings and arcades to cover you from the elements. Here you can spend a pleasant day shopping and relaxing. 100 shops offer clothing, sportswear, accessories, furniture, electronics and houseware all year round at prices reduced by 30-70%. And, for the little ones, there is a fully equipped, covered and air-conditioned play area and a mini golf course with free admission. Mondovicino also offers a rich entertainment calendar all year round, including cultural events, concerts, art exhibitions and performances.
THE CLIMBING GYM IN THE SPORTS CENTER
Doing sports in an outlet? No problem! Mondovicino offers a 500 square meter sports center. It’s the first outlet equipped with an indoor climbing space, (also suitable for the so-called “pros”). The facility is located on the first floor of the central piazza (square). The space for the climbing walls is divided in three parts: the bouldering wall, the wall for climbing routes and the training hall.
